From The Estate Of Bill Owen (1914-1999) - Scrapbook - Bill Owen's earliest scrapbook from his estate, covering the very beginnings of his professional career during the Second World War c1943 at the Glasgow Unity Theatre. The album includes: many early newspaper clippings and reviews from his early stage work, programme from Alice In Thunderland, an original poster from Winkles & Champagne (1943), early photographs of Owen on stage, a signed programme 'To Darling, with love - Bill' for One More Mile (1944), signed photograph of Beatrice Varley, photograph with Billy Butlin, and hundreds of other items. All laid-in on paper sleeves, housed in a red album. A unique and personal archive from Bill's early career.
