David Dipnall (British, 1941-2023)
Depicting a British woodland path on a Summer's afternoon, the daylight seeping through the dense trees, signed to lower right, oil on canvas, 60 x 100cm, mounted in a gilt frame.
Provenance: St Pauls Gallery London, label verso.

Note: Dipnall regarded as one of the foremost English landscape artists of the 21st Century, with his work on many best seller lists. In his later years, he returned to live in Scotland, to the Isle of Skye, which would provide a rich source of inspiration for his paintings right up until the end of his life.
