Stanley Thorogood (1873-1953) was Superintendent of Art Instruction, Stoke-on-Trent, 1913-19. From 1920, he was Director of Camberwell Art School in London. Born in 1873, Stanley Thorogood trained at Brighton School of Art and won a Gold Medal Travelling Scholarship to Italy.
