Provenance: 1) Henry Castree Hughes (1893-1976), architect and conservationist; bound by his wife Mary, autograph inscribed H C Hughes Grantchester 1924, and with his memorial presentation label presenting the book to; 2) Peter Bicknell (1907-1995), architect and mountaineer; his book label to pastedown; 3) his nephew Julian Bicknell (b. 1945), New Classical architect and designer of the Palladian Henbury Hall, Cheshire; his and his wife's pictorial bookplate to ffep.
