a 35in. carved hull painted black to the waterline and red below, with a single brass propeller, white gunwale and superstructure, with large aft deck fitted with trawling gear and derricks, superstructure with painted funnel and inflatable ship’s boat, mounted on brass posts in a glazed display case -- 19 x 39 x 10in. (48 x 99 x 25.5cm.) overall

Originally constructed in Wismar for the German High Seas Fishery Survey and named ERNST HAECKEL, she was purchased and renamed by McKee Shipping Ltd. of Great Yarmouth in 1983, who commissioned this model for their offices.
