A French Edwardian desk clock, in the form of a shield with an easel type stand. The shield is of tortoiseshell with a repoussé silver band of decorative foliage around the 6cm silvered dial which has Arabic numerals and a gilt filigree centre. The barrel spring single train movement has a lever escapement. The clock stands 18cm tall overall.
The movement is clean and runs. The dial and glass are undamaged. there is a repaired crack in the tortoiseshell at the bottom right of the shield.
