U.S.A.: North American Lumber Company, $100 shares, 18[38], #1556, attractive vignettes, black. Incorporated in 1836 in New York. Owned 92000 acres of timber lands near Bangor, Maine. Much of the land was sold off in the 1840's but the company lasted until the Civil War but no records after that. Cancelled. Some damage at left edge but VF and scarce issued.
