A late 18th century 10 bore flintlock fowling piece, by Hunt of Colchester, barrel 42" with London proofs, flat stepped lock with swan neck cock, the plate signed "HUNT COLCHESTER", walnut halfstock (originally fullstocked), with chequered wrist, brass mounts including trigger guard with acorn finial and flat sideplate, and with later short ramrod in two pipes attached to the barrel. GWO & QGC (lock and barrel with dark patina and light pitting, stock worn with long hole beneath the fore end where the ramrod tunnel is worn through). £250-300
