A Victorian Argyll & Sutherland Officers basket-hilt sword, the ricasso indistinctly stamped for John Jones, 6 Regent Street, numbered 2028, with double fullered etched blade with ciphers, a legible legend 'Sans Peur', with owners monogram, the hilt with pierced heart shaped motifs and with a wire bound wood grip, the blade 83cm, 98cm overall
There is no scabbard. The blade is pitted throughout and the engraving is difficult to determine but very much present.
