A GEORGE III SILVER TEA CADDY
by Peter & Ann Bateman, London 1796, of shaped oval form, the hinged domed cover with a fluted knop, engraved with a crest above a G to the front and a coat of arms to the reverse. 15cm high, 14.5cm long, 14 troy ounces
The marks are clear and well-spaced. The lid opens and closes well. The hinge is in good order. The lock is in place, but there isn't a key. There is a dent to the front, right of centre. Otherwise, it is in good condition with some age-related surface wear.
