DELFT DRUG JAR. 4.4ins tall. Tin glaze jar decorated with the Song Bird and Basket design with E/ CORT PERNV RUB across central cartouche. The initial letter placed over the main text is a format used on Dutch made jars. The Song Bird and Basket design with cherub head and swags below, is thought to have been used circa 1700-1800. See similar design on a collection of wet drug jars attributed to the Lampetkan Factory at Delft sold by Sworders (March 2017, lot 6-13). Roy Sherwin base label reads E2, 100 and 3t.
