The Volvo Amazon was made from 1956 to 1970. The Amazon shared the wheelbase, tall posture and high H-point seating of its predecessor the PV, and was offered as a two or four door saloon and an Estate. In 1959 Volvo became the world's first manufacturer to provide front seat belts as standard equipment, providing them on all Amazon models.
When introduced, the car was named the Amazon, however German motorcycle manufacturer Kreidler had already registered the name, and so Volvo began its 3 digit nomenclature and the Amazon became known as the 120 Series. By the end of production, 234,653 four-door models, 359,917 two-door models and 73,220 Estates had been built, of which 60% were exported.
This is a Barn find Volvo Amazon 2 Door Coupe, complete and running, for restoration. There are no keys, and a V5c will need to be applied for, both lost in time. An Excellent opportunity, very sought after.
