Bayonet - an Imperial German Model 1898/05 Sawback bayonet, blade 14.5", sawback 11" approx. Dated 1907, ricasso stamped "Erfurt" with crown. High ears crossguard. Regimentally marked "23 P.4.28 (?)". (23rd Pioneer Bn, 4th Coy, Weapon No 28). in its steel leather scabbard with its leather frog. GC
