A Chinese silk shawl, circa 1900, embroidered with polychrome threads with birds and flowers against a black silk ground, 164cm sq.

The shawl has slightly faded to a brown / black, but the polychrome colours are strong, there is one small tare otherwise in reasonable condition for age.
