An extremely rare novelty Victorian silver pepper caster in the form of a seated monkey, Makers mark indistinct, but probably George Fox, London, 1881, realistic features, textured fur decoration, detachable pierced head, 2 3/4in. (7cm.) high, weight 2.5 tr.oz. Scarce * Condition: Hallmarks on back rubbed, head loose unless turned a little, very appealing, fair/good.
