11th Prince Albert's Own Hussars Officer's Busby. A good example tailored by Hawkes & Co . Rich dark brown sable fur, with triple gold purl cords and gimp boss. Crimson bag with regimental style trimming of narrow gold French braid, forming a circle of eyes around the gold gimp button. Rich gilt gimp chinchain with leather backing (Stitching Faults). The interior with soft leather lining with gold tooled tailor’s details. Flap securing tongue absent. Overall good, surface moth and fading to the bag, with a small amount of fur loss. Plume absent.
