Includes letters from Lofthouse concerning his consent towards his photograph being used for the artwork. Mounted on card, measuring approximately 15 x 21 cm. Artist unknown.
Nathaniel Lofthouse (27 August 1925 - 15 January 2011) was an English footballer who played as a forward for Bolton Wanderers for his entire career. He won 33 caps for England between 1950 and 1958, scoring 30 goals, with one of the highest goals per game ratios of any English player. In 1994 Lofthouse was appointed an OBE and in 1997 Bolton decided to name their East Stand at their new Reebok Stadium after him.
