An 18th Century Griffin (of London) made flintlock belt pistol. Engraved 'Griffin' to the lock plate, the stock decorated with engraved metal cartouche depicting a shell, and the trigger guard decorated similarly with an acorn motif. Lacking frizzen spring and belt hook. Mechanism slight AF - single-cocks only, little temperamental. Ramrod present. Measures approx. 39cm long.
