QV-KGVI MISCELLANY: A carton containing a variety of regd letter envs. and stamped mail, mainly internal but a few sent overseas, with uprated, various sizes, mixed reign frankings, a few postage due, etc. Mail inc. 1941 H.M Ships No 0606 etiquette (creased across corner) on env. to Lincolnshire with signed tombstone censor cachet; 1938 meter mail with London S.W. 31 etiquette, two "Posted out of Course / S.W.1" cachets and "3d/TO PAY/ 79(?)". 1902 env. ex St Albans to Paris with "INSURED" etiquette, franked KEVII ½d+2½d tied by fine hooded London ds's and 2d+2½d tied by St Albans cds's with Calais transit mark on front and Paris receiving mark on back; 1931 env. ex Truro to Darwin, Australia with Air Mail etiquette franked KGV 3d+4d+1/- each tied by Truro cds, redirected on arrival to Boonah with cds's for Truro Cornwall, Registered Brisbane (part), Darwin Australia & Boonah Queensland on back; ordinary envelope to Guernsey franked 3x ½d Guernsey adhesives tied by indistinct Guernsey cds with Sark No. 1689 etiquette; etc. (QV-KGV 129, KGVI 74)
