Frame - Excelsior mk. 3 (England), the last of the famous marque
Engine - J.A.P 500cc short five, 45 bhp and 6000 rpm. Engine No. JOS 79287
Clutch - Burman, multiplate
Carburettor - Amal, twin float
Fuel - Methanol
Excelsior Speedway machines were very popular in the immediate post war period. Although they were still producing a quality product, their frame designs did not move quickly enough with the times.
