A highly ornate Victorian gold sliding propelling pencil, which features a line and dot and diamond pattern shaft. Featuring also, an acanthus leaf surround to nib and a Carnelian finial. Unmarked but possibly Sampson Mordan & Company. Length: 11cm. Weight: 16.10 grams. Together with a further silver metal example which features a chevron machine cut detail. Weight: 9.8 grams.
