Two Japanese Shibayama type inlaid panels, 19th century, each inlaid in wood, ivory and mother-of-pearl with an egret preening below willow branches and an eagle settling on a pine branch, the latter with four character signature to a rectangular plaque, 60.5 x 42cm, minor losses CITES Submission reference XNPLXS1W
The first plaque decorated with an egret has some inlay missing to the birds crest and the artist’s seal mark and the second of an eagle has a crack to its right wing, otherwise it looks complete.
