WW2 Polish Air Force RAF Officer's attributed Cap. A rare early war example tailored by Gieves Ltd of London. The cap is of the regulation pattern with the early war feature of light blue stitching to the welt of the crown and green card to the underside of the peak. To the front a Polish Air Force bullion eagle badge. The lining wit tailors label and ink name P/O Cieplinski. Overall service wear, one small moth hole to the crown with a slightly larger to the back of the cap. Two Officers of this name appear on the Roll of the Polish Air Force WW2. Flying Officer Filip Cieplinski a pilot who flew with 300 and 307 Squadron, he was Killed on the 1st March 1943, whilst serving with 7 AACU. F/O Stanislaw Cieplinski a Balloon Officer.
