Early 19th Century French heavy cavalry Cuirassiers, Dragoons, Carabineers, etc., sabre, Modele AN IX, with a fullered steel blade, marked with a star above an "M" and a letter "B", and a leather and brass basket hilt, numbered "962", in a steel scabbard, numbered "1222", L.116.2cm
Scabbard - all over slighting pitting and pitting to the bottom end. No dents. Blade - 2 manufacturing faults?, and tiny dent towards hilt. No bends to blade or scabbard. No jiggle. Blade L.94cm, hilt L.15cm, scabbard L.100.5cm. Hilt leather worn and fault towards guard, tiny piece of wire loose.
