A Belgian 6 shot 9mm Chamelot & Delvigne double action pinfire revolver, c 1865, number 6907, octagonal barrel 120mm (4¾”) with standing rearsight, the breech marked “C&D”, the barrel engraved in gothic script “H. Fauze Le Page a Paris”, Liege proved, with rounded frame, sliding ejector rod on the left, knurled capstan bolt securing the barrel, bag shaped butt with chequered walnut grips, and lanyard ring. GC, the dark patina overall (trigger spring AF, fore sight incomplete) Plate 36 £300-400.
