Depicting goats standing on rocks overlooking the sea with, possibly, Martello tower in the distance. Likely a preparatory study for watercolour ‘The Lonely One, East Cliff, Hastings’ sold at Burstow and Hewitt’s 27 July 2016 auction Lot 297. Inscribed lower left reading: ‘E.Cliff’.
