A smokebox numberplate, 58124, from a Midland Railway 1142 Class 0-6-0 No 381 built by Kitson, Works No 2049, in 1876. Rebuilt in 1889, 1903 and 1921 and renumbered 2920 in 1907 which number it retained when taken into LMS stock. Renumbered 22920 in 1934 and re-classified to 2F, becoming BR 58124. Allocated to Monument Lane by 1948 and later Aston, Bushbury and Bescot from where it was withdrawn in July 1962 and sold for scrap to Cashmores at Great Bridge. (Postage Band: D)
