Golfing interest, two receipts from the Royal Burgh of Montrose Chamberlains office, for the sum of ten pounds, dated 29th May 1931 for an 'Exhibition Golf Match' and signed by the recipients, professional golfers Johnny Farrell and Gene Sarazen.
Provenance: these two receipts were collected by James Milne when he worked in the town chamberlains office, he would later become the town chamberlain in the 1960s and 1970s.
