1877 (JU 19) cover from South Zorra to Ceylon, Dunlop correspondence, franked at the pre-UPU rate of 22c by 1870-90 2c deep green (lifted and re-affixed) and 5c olive-green horizontal strip of 4, cancelled by individual seven ring targets with despatch cds and red London transit cds (2 JY) at lower left. Backstamped at Woodstock (JU 20), Hamilton (JU 20) and Kandy (AU 10). The 5c strip with some clipped perfs as a result of separation from the sheet by scissors, nevertheless one of this finest of the few pre-UPU covers known to this rare and exotic destination, all of which emanate from this correspondence.
