the associated stand bears apocryphal Xuande six character mark, of baluster form, the underside with a stylised medallion
16cm high, 25cm diam

PROVENANCE: acquired in China by Captain Charles Oswald Liddell (1854-1941). Liddell lived in China between 1877 to 1913, and thence by descent.

Good overall appearance. There is an old impressed area on the shoulder with pitting and signs of an attempted repair to the interior. General signs of age and consistent with use. Weight 3200 g with stand, 2558 g without stand.
