A FIRST WORLD WAR CASUALTY PAIR TO THE LONDON REGIMENT. A Great War pair comprising War Medal and Victory Medal named to 254446 Pte H.J.J. Farrant 4-London R. Henry Joseph John Farrant was the son of Mr H.J. Farrant of 121 Peabody Cottages, Lordship Lane, Tottanhem, London. He joined up in November 1917, he arrived in France and took part in the battle of the Somme serving with the 3rd and 4th Battalions, London Regiment (Royal Fusiliers). He was killed in action on the 28th August 1918 at Albert and is buried nearby at Bronfay Farm Military Cemetery, Bray-Sur-Somme. *CR New ribbons. A lot fee of £8 inc. VAT will be charged on top of the hammer price and BP on all lots.
