AN EARLY 19TH CENTURY ROSEWOOD AND BRASS INLAID WRITING SLOPE, fitted interior and with secret compartment containing two drawers, with key, width 45.54cm x height 16cm x depth 25cm, together with a Victorian mahogany and brass bound writing slope, fitted interior, with key, width 35cm x height 14.5cm x depth 23.5cm (2) (condition: rosewood box has patches of veneer loss and the metal inlay has extensive gilding loss, some areas the metal has been filled, interior in need of restoration, locking mechanism in working order, the mahogany slope is in reasonable condition, locking mechanism working, but lacks catch to keep lid slope in place)
