TRANSATLANTIC USAGE OF 'THE TIMES' WITH 1841 2d BLUE EX LONDON TO PROVIDENCE, R.I.; Fine complete 8-page 3 June 1844 issue of 'The Times' addressed to "Providence, Rhode Island, U.S." (folds to fit an album page; addressee's name trimmed off at top) and endorsed "Pr. [Steamer] Acadia" and franked for the special 2d rate with an 1841 2d Blue (AK; just 4m - v. tight at right) with clear profile tied by an unclear London diamond numeral. Very few newspapers that were posted with Imperf. issues have been recorded. Exhibition Quality.
