The miniature depicting the officer shows a possible crack to the ivory panel in the upper left quadrant, however the panel is backed with paper and glued directly to the mount, so it is not possible to verify that the crack is full thickness. The glass shows scratching across the surface. The mount shows wear to the gilt finish throughout.
