Rifle, an Imperial German GEW 88 service rifle for WWI. Made at Erfurt in 1890, calibre 7.92mm. Barrel length 30". SN:6984. Front barrel band marked to ther 169th Reserve Regiment. Stock marked c069 (no ramrod, no rearsight spring) service wear overall. The Rifles were with the GEW 98, the standard rifle for the Kaisers Army in 1914/1915 and later for reserve units. With Current Cerificate of Deactivation
