Cyprus / G.B. 1976 (Sep 9) Cover from London to Northern Cyprus franked 10p, with red "RECOVERED FROM AIRCRASH / ZAGREB 10-9-76 / FORWARDED TO / DESTINATION" and matching London F.S c.d.s (Oct 18). The September 10th B.A Trident London to Istanbul flight collided in mid-air with another plane near Zagreb and crashed, all 63 passengers and crew being killed. Recovered mail was apparently returned to London five weeks after the crash. An unusual destination. N.760910.
