A Grand Tour patinated bronze figural group modelled as 'The Uffizi Wrestlers', 19th century Italian after the antique, the group set to a shaped patinated bronze base signed in the cast 'Giv. Bologna', probably a reference to Giovanni Bologna (Italian, 1529-1608), also known as Giambologna, further mounted on a yellow Sienna marble oval plinth, 12cm high overall (at fault)
The piece shows age-related wear to the patinated finish throughout. The figures are slightly loose on the bronze base. The marble plinth shows a small loss to the front edge and a smaller loss to the top surface.
