An Osborn 1796 Pattern Heavy Cavalry Sword........................A Fine British Georgian/Napoleonic-Period 1796 Pattern Heavy Cavalry Trooper's Sword, marked Osborn & Gunby, Birmingham (1808-1820), with Crown/8 inspection stamp on blade and E-Troop, Rack No. 11 marking on scabbard. Blade field modified from a hatchet to a spear point, indicating campaign/service. Hilt in un-modified condition. Complete with scabbard, leather bound grip, blade length 87cm.
