A small late 18th century Russian charka / beaker, maker unknown, Moscow 1783, of cylindrical tapering form decorated with an eagle with wings out spread perched on a Rococo plinth surrounded by chased, engraved and embossed scrolls, 7.7cm (3.3in) high, 82g (2.9oz) Russian Silversmiths Hallmarks 1700-1917, Watts G, p. 184- original maker. The beaker is also stamped Syemyen Bogdanov, 1825-1875, St Petersburg, p. 178
