Legend reads: 'VICTORIA DEI GRATIA' with the date below and raised initials to the truncation of the Queen's neck. Reverse: shield of royal arms within a wreath, 'BRITANNIARUM REGINA FID: DEF:' around. Design attributed to Jean Baptiste Merlen. Annual mintage: 8,053,435. Composition: 9167 gold. Weight: 7.98g. Diameter: 22.05mm.
