Sirius. Introduction and Notes by Owen Rutter. Foreword by the Hon. B.S.B. Stevens, M.L.A., Premier of New South Wales. Number 89 of 375 copies set in 14 pt. Perpetua type. 12.5 X 7.5 ins. 150 pp. Blue cloth with design by the artist in gilt on a cream-coloured cloth panel on the upper cover. Five wood engravings by Peter Barker Mill including a full page frontispiece and four facsimile pages. Published to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the founding of Australia, as a salute from England to the Commonwealth. This copy has two bookplates on the front paste-down indicating that it was firstly owned by Elizabeth Greenhill (1907-2007) one of the outstanding designer bookbinders of the 20th century. A fine copy.
