Star Lot : A very attractive original oil on board painting titled "Al Mercato: La Fruittavendola" (The Market: The Fruit Vendor) by the artist Domenico Ronca dating to 2003 featuring an impressionistic composition of a beautiful woman selling fruit at the market reaching out to the viewer tantalizingly with a bunch of grapes in hand.

Domenico Ronca was born in Molfetta in 1964 and following in his father's footsteps, showed his passion for art as a child. He first exhibited alongside his father, presenting his work to appraisers, critics and art dealers throughout Italy. Throughout his 30 year career, Ronca developed his own pictorial style and expressive line that is manifested in the canvases of recent years. He uses a choice of glazes and colour combinations in the creation of distinctive forms where he represents female subjects and landscapes with horses.
