S.S "Jebba". 1907 (Jan 18) Cover from London to Southern Nigeria with Calabar arrival c.d.s (Feb 15), redirected back to England, recovered from the S.S "Jebba" which ran ashore on the South Devon coast on March 18th. The stamp washed off, handstamped violet "SALVED FROM / S.S "JEBBA"" (Hoggarth/Gwynn type 2b), Manchester arrival datestamps (Mar 20/22) but handstamped "Gone away / 498", with Manchester R.L.B c.d.s.
