Old heavy duty leather belt, possibly used in the slave trade or for prisoner restraint, heavy duty leather construction, 6.5cm wide stitched around a core of linked chain mail, 6 oblong slots to the front to adjust for waist size through which a metal bar is attached a ring style lock, attached to each side of the belt are 2 additional larger size ring locks attached to metal fittings stitched into the belt. The stitching is coming apart over a 30cm section of the belt, with attempted staple repairs (these can be easily removed). This was purchased in the Irish Republic in the 1960s. There are no keys for the locks. (See photo) (½B)
