A Chinese cinnabar lacquer censer and cover, Qing Dynasty Of ovoid form raised on four dragon scroll supports, the domed cover surmounted by a bird, the whole carved in relief with dragons amid rocks and flowering plants. 36cm high Provenance:Private Cheshire collection, the property of a gentleman. Condition:Bird finial has been reglued and also has a chip to beak and crest, losses to lacquer on legs and one wing missing. Censer has small chip to rim, some minor flaking inside the rim and a crack to one side.
