A Chinese late Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) bronze planter or jardinière, the rectangular form vessel raised on scroll supports and flanked by taotie mask handles, relief cast with birds to the exterior, unmarked, height 7.5cm, width 20.5cm, depth 13cm.

More Information

Small possibly visible holes to the underside of the base, these have not penetrated through, and could possibly be pitting marks.
Natural patination and verdigris throughout.
Two small holes to the metal at the lower corner, each approx. 1cm in size.
natural wear to the inside of the vessel.
Small knocks and dinks throughout commensurate with age.
