‘The Bomb that Changed the World’

A section from the Front Page of the Daily Express newspaper for Tuesday August 7 1945, the day after the first atomic bomb was dropped on the Japanese city of Hiroshima, framed with various documents signed respectively by Thomas W. Ferebee, bombardier on the Enola Gay aircraft that dropped the bomb; Morris Jeppson, bomb test officer, Enola Gay; Paul W. Tibbets, pilot and captain, Enola Gay; Jacob Besser, observer, Enola Gay; and Fred J. Olivi, co-pilot for the separate Nagasaki bombing two days later.
A remarkable collection of autographs, mementos of two days that did indeed change the world.
The entire display approx. 79cms x 53cms (31" x 21"), strongly framed and glazed.
