Irish Monaghan Regiment of Militia Victorian glengarry badge circa 1874-81. Good very scarce die-stamped white metal crowned strap MONAGHAN REGIMENT; Maid of Erin Harp to voided centre. Loops (one repaired) otherwise VGC. Raised 1793 at Monaghan. Became 5th Bn. Royal Irish Fusiliers on Friday 1st July 1881. Gordon Cummings Collection.
