Early 19th century Napoleonic French prisoner of war carved bone Spinning Jenny Automaton, modelled as a woman standing on a platform at her spinning wheel above the winding mechanism, 10cm high, on wood base under later glass dome. Provenance: The Eyres Collection of French Napoleonic Prisoner-of-War Works of Art and Antique Weapons, assembled over many years by a Devon collector. Sold on the instructions of the Executor.
