A Meissen porcelain Onion pattern blue and white lamp base, of baluster form with removable cover and fittings, blue crossed sword mark to underside of cover, 44cm high excluding shape (at fault), and a Victorian Hinks & Sons Patent oil lamp, with glass reservoir above a white glaze ceramic base elaborately decorated with a frieze of scantily clad putti, 48cm high excluding shade (at fault) (2)

The Meissen lamp base shows a loss to one half of the lamp fitting, with the result that the fitting will not remain in place. The porcelain reservoir cover shows extensive repairs and losses. The copper reservoir shows adhesive residue. The porcelain body shows surface wear, scratching, dirt and residue. The metal fittings are tarnished throughout. The shade shows some wear and dirt.

The Hinks oil lamp shows chips and nibbles to the glazed body throughout, and dirt and staining to the shade.
